if we had a basement or something I wouldn’t be as twitchy, but there’s no ‘safe room’ besides a hall closet and come on seriously like that would help.

Haha, I’ve never handled storms well- I’m better about them now where thunderstorms don’t startle me but tornadoes are a whole different story. It’s to the point if I watch the weather and know exactly what is going on, I feel more in control of the situation so I’m not cowering in the closet forgetting how to breathe properly
but when you’re asleep you can’t really do much about that
so I don’t like to sleep during strong storms with tornado possibilities cause I don’t know what’s happening and you’re always exposed when you sleep, and then the nightmares based on tornadoes
LONG STORY SHORT I tend to overdose on caffeine on nights like this, or just knock myself out. … which isn’t at all what you asked, but yes I have them but they’re not uncommon uwu I’m used to it
closet mostly cleaned need to wait for laundry before that’s all finished
